Evil bunnies dedicated to an awesome author Kirsten miller! =D

I was walking home from school like any normal day. the fair was in town so I
stopped on the way home to get my little brother some cotton candy. Oh I love the smell ant the sights of the fair. Behind me a little girl and her dad bought a funnel cake. Approaching the cotton candy stand I saw a little tent with tiny bunnies painted on it all over it. The tent seemed to glow and though I have always hated bunnies I was drawn to it. I walked in against my will and squinted in the dark. The tent went on forever and once my eyes adjusted I saw a pink fluffy bunny with a purple spike collar and a scar under it's eye. It may sound cute but bunnies are EVIL I pulled out my iPod and turned on the "Kiki strike" audio book. Most people don't know this but bunnies and it's small woodland brethren such as squirrels, gofers ect. Hate Kiki strike the bunny scratched at it's ears as the book played a tear fell from it's beady eye as it morphed into "cute" bunny form and hopped away.

Mercy!

They didn't believe me. No one would believe me. That night I saw things and I heard things that still make me shudder...
The laughing I heard high pitched evil laughing. Then the migraine all at once tortuous headaches. The first thing I thought was sing hymns like my pops said. My mind went blank. I tried to think of a song any song. "Jesus loves me this I know." came my weak scared voice I started the next verse. My throat went dry it took all that I had in me to continue my throat started swelling I couldn't talk I soon found I was paralyzed. I lay in the bed wanting to scream. I gathered all of my strength to say "Lord help me. Amen." and I took in a deep breath, my headache ceased, and the laughing faded. This is my true story. God is very real and so is the devil and this is an example of the very real spiritual warfare that we can't see.

This is one of my short story entries on kirstenmillerbooks.blogspot.com for her contest hope you like it

Rose by nightfall

Once upon a time in the land of somewhere lived a girl named Laodamia. a beautiful sixteen year old with vibrant blue eyes and pale clear skin she wore her long auburn hair in a bun braided with blue wire and a few strands hanging down curled she always looked perfect for her mother insisted she do so. Laodamia wore blue gowns of the finest silk embroidered with golden thread. her father a rich man for he gave the king his daughter to be married to the prince of somewhere in exchange for eternal wealth tended to spoil the young maiden. "only the best for future queen. " he told her. Laodamia every night sat by her window and watched the stars ever so often a shooting star would pass and she wished fervently for her one true love to object the marriage and take her away it would never happen. In somewhere girls were slaves a girls father arranged their marriage and according to prophecy they could only be broken if a girl fell in love with a boy from the far away land of anywhere in one day and she was given a single red rose by nightfall. " that would never happen by my eighteenth birthday. And even if it did father may be put to death for not paying his debt." She began to sob her ladies maid Matilda peeked in " Why are you crying dearie your father is worried? "
"Why should he care I'm crying because I will grow up and have to marry prince Absalon! " She whimpered and thought I hate even his name absalon ha! Handsome prince indeed. For in Hebrew Absalon meant wise and handsome prince " dear ,your father did it to take care of you if it wasn't for the money you would have died a sick infant. " Laodamia shuddered at the thought but now it seemed better than dying an old miserable queen that would never know of true love or freedom "I've been kept a prisoner my whole life Matilda behind these sad eyes and expensive dresses I am a girl a girl with feelings a girl longing for love I will never have! " She cried standing up " A girl should be able to find love alone but but this is a cruel world where men rule over women but not me I will find a way I'll run away on the day of my seventeenth birthday and I will find love in anywhere and you will be sorry! " Matilda grinned " such a strong hopeful girl quit your silly plotting and dreaming and come to bathe you shall go to bed you must be tired. " Laodamia followed reluctantly drying her tears and planning her seventeenth birthdays escape. That night she dreamed of a girl about seventeen running. Her face showed fear. The girl ran faster and faster into a forest until her red dress caught on a thorn bush. She tugged at it for a while desperately sobbing. Finally it cut loose tearing the dress and cutting the girls leg. She didn't seem to notice she just ran until she stopped at a lake and collapsed in a patch of grass she drew herself up pulled a ring off of her hand and threw it into the water with a soft plink. Laodamia woke with a start. She got up to look in the mirror and found her face stained with tears as if SHE had been the girl in her dream she shivered picking up her blanket and sitting at her window seat. It was still early so she decided to sit and think before everyone awoke to pester her. Her seventeenth birthday would be on the morrow time to pack she thought. in the house lamps were not yet lit the windows still closed and every resident besides Laodamia asleep she lit a candle she placed in her gold candle holder and crept downstairs to the kitchen skipping stairs three, five, and ten the loudest. She brought with her a leather knapsack the only thing left by her grandfather large enough to hold a bit of food and the glass jar of money in her fathers study along with three dresses and her fathers work trousers, shirt, and hat. She took some dried beef and a jar of water from the cupboard and tiptoed to her fathers study. She snatched the jar of coins - enough for two months of food and lodging- she took the whole jar it made less noise than opening it and pouring coins into a bag. heart beating Laodamia crept back up the stairs, wrapped the bag up in a dirty nightgown, stuffed it under her bed, and went back to sleep she didn't dream again but she awoke to birds chirping she jumped up took her leather bag and climbed down the side of her house on a vine kissing her old life goodbye and she was off to find love in the land if anywhere. Footsteps. "Show yourself!". Laodamia said shaking "it's just me Lao." said a small voice from the bushes it was rose the thirteen year old servant girl "Where do you think you are going child?" Rose blushed "I wanted to um maybe go with you." she said embarrassed she continued "My mistress Matilda beats me when I daydream and I haven't eaten but porridge in months." Laodamia nodded sympathetically realizing her own hunger "Alright you may come." Rose smiled "thank you Lao!" Laodamia smiled at the beautiful young girl in rags. "And one more thing Rose, you are coming on this quest as a friend not that evil Matilda's servant girl. Understood?" Rose nodded eagerly standing up strait as if the new title came with new posture as well. this is a cruel world where men rule over women but not me I will find a way I'll run away on the day of my seventeenth birthday and I will find love in anywhere and you will be sorry!
